Use Your Favorite Coffee Mug...Every Day!

In an attempt to clean the house after my daughter was born, I started avoiding day to day chores (like dishes) to sort through closets full of random treasures. My attempts at avoiding the dishes were successful as I soon had mounds of clothes that didn't fit, old pictures, and weird candles. After my burst of frenzied cleaning had ceased, my thoughts were drawn to the coffee cupboard (except it's like 3 cupboards since we have so many coffee mugs and zero storage space)! 

If you are like me, you held onto the coffee mugs that came with your dinnerware set from your wedding/college graduation/mall purchase. We had 8 brownish, greenish mugs that held liquids just fine. However, they were no longer welcome in my cupboards.

Why do we hold onto things we don't use? Maybe there is a fear that we'll break the "good" mug with the wear and tear of everyday use. I've decided I no longer have the space for unused coffee mugs. I no longer have time to try and cram all of my mugs into the cupboard. I am going to fill (but not cram) my coffee cupboards with souvenir mugs to remind me of family trips together. I am going to use my favorite mug every day as long as it is clean. I am going to be thankful for each sip of warm coffee...the mom struggle is real!
